Each week we have a main theme that is developed the week before from our question lists. To start each new "big idea question" I take different elements of the question for students to explore independently as they choose. In the session (virtually or in person) we expand on just 1 or 2 of those more focused questions.

We transitioned into energy transfer - check out this video of a physics ball drop experiment where we saw potential and kinetic energy transfers. Earlier in the activity we had done this experiment next to the side of a building where we could measure the height of the bounces. We later related this phenomenon to SUPERNOVAS!!
